Book Week at the BalCC had all in the Junior School involved in the theme "Escape to Everywhere".

On Monday Prep-Year 5 students spent much of the day involved in literacy and art activities associated with five of the CBCA Shortlisted or Notable books.

On Wednesday, the Prep-Year 2 students went on an excursion to Kardinia Church to an interactive musical show based on 'Chip', a persistent seagull who managed to solve a problem - how to get more to eat!

Friday's dress up parade saw students covering Fiction genres such as Pets, Animals, Mystery, Adventure, Australia and Historical.

Thank you to parents who assisted by volunteering on the excursion or in class, providing costumes or visiting during the Parade.

“Here's hoping you can all escape with a book and relax this weekend!” Librarian-Kylie Weightman
