Donna McGilligan

Donna was born in Swan Hill Victoria and moved to Ballarat when she was six years old. Donna attended Alfredton Primary School, Ballarat High School and then Fed Uni (formerly Ballarat University College) where she obtained a Bachelor of Business with a major in Accounting. 

As a 21 year old Donna moved to Sydney to pursue a spot on the Australian Tae Kwon Do team. After competing for several years on the team Donna decided to move back to Ballarat. After a short return to Ballarat Donna returned to NSW where she met her now husband, Peter.

Donna was a stay-at-home mum, running the office of Peter’s busy waterproofing company, until all her three boys started school. Once the youngest of her three children went to school Donna took up a position of Canteen and Uniform Shop Manager at Hills Adventist College in Sydney until she and her family returned to Ballarat at the end of 2012. 

Donna commenced working in the Accounts Department at BalCC in January 2013 two days a week. After taking on various other responsibilities Donna eventually moved into her current position of Finance Coordinator/Office Manager in 2018. Donna considers her role a blessing, giving her the opportunity to work with an amazing team daily.

In her spare time Donna enjoys being a member of “With One Voice” Choir and volunteering as Treasurer for the Ballarat Symphony Orchestra.
