The East India Trading Co. food truck visited BalCC this week as part on
an incursion for the Year 8 Cuisines of the World class.
The food truck is owned and run by Chef, Ranjit Singh, who stayed on to prepare and serve lunch to Middle and Senior School students. The menu included Butter Chicken, Palak Paneer, Lamb Rogan Josh and Vegan Butter Chicken served with rice or naan bread. All the recipes were gluten & nut-free, and the vegan curry was dairy & meat-free.
By the long line of students and staff outside the food truck at lunchtime the visit proved very successful.The East India Trading Co. do corporate, function and private catering, as well as operating the food truck in ArmstrongStreet on weekend evenings.
