Jo Hall commenced at BalCC this year to teach the Certificate II in Applied Fashion Design and Technology. Jo has been involved in education for over 30 years, teaching English, Visual Arts, and Visual Communication & Design.

After a lifetime love of following fashion, not for the trends but for the sheer joy and creativity of the beauty of stunning designs in clothing, Jo decided to become a Fashion Designer. Jo’s creations challenge the wearer to be different and stand out from the crowd and draw inspiration from a long-standing admiration of female strength.

Jo says “I’m very privileged to be combining my love of education and fashion design with the VET students. I am hoping to pass on my emphasis on slow-fashion, a more sustainable approach to fashion design that harkens back to the careful tailoring of clothes that lasted years, not just a season.”
