Lorraine Firth

Lorriane was born and bred in Ballarat and grew up in Sebastopol attending Sebastopol Primary School and Sebastopol Technical School. Later finishing her schooling at Ballarat High School after a stint at The Australian Ballet School.

After completing her schooling, she moved to Melbourne to train as a nurse at Repatriation General Hospital Heidelberg.

Lorraine is married to Ross and as a blended family they have raised six children and have fourteen grandchildren, and they attend Connect Baptist.

“I was invited to join the BalCC Board at a time when I was asking God what more I could be doing in His service. I count it a privilege to serve in this way and sit on the Finance and Property Committee. When I am not helping Ross build our house in Scarsdale or doing the odd casual nursing shift. I love spending time with our family and friends. Ross and I enjoy travelling with our caravan and seeing more and more of this amazing country. Travelling gives me time to catch up on some reading and knitting and reruns of Agatha’s Christie’s Poirot.”
