Middle and Senior School students had a theme of “Go Red” for their end of term casual clothes day. The Senior School Senate organised the day and encouraged students to wear casual clothes in order to raise support for the Red Cross Blood Service. This is a non-government organisation that aims to save as many lives as possible through the voluntary donation of either whole blood, plasma or platelets. One third of blood donations go towards saving people’s lives with blood diseases and cancer. Currently there is a shortage of O negative blood which is concerning for those who may need it in an emergency.

When a person reaches the age of 18 they may be able to donate blood. This means several of our Year 11’s and 12’s are possibly eligible. We encourage you all, when you are eligible, to donate blood and help others who are the most vulnerable in Australia.

As part of end of term activities the Middle School students enjoyed movies, board games, and indoor games organised by the Middle School Representative Council.
