The Year 8 Lego Mindstorm students have been building mini robots using core Lego kits and adding on with extension kits. Students are required to follow detailed plans and instructions to add on to their robots with the extension kits.

The Lego Mindstorm class lets students design and build programmable robots using motors, sensors, gears, wheels, axles, and other technical components. By using hands-on and project based robotics, students will learn to:

· Problem solve, design, build, implement and analysis their robotics structure

· Produce simple sequences and commands that link cause and effect using input/output devices.

· Integrate STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) using physical constraints, units of measurement, coordinate systems, minimum, maximum, mean, and linear applications.

· Use their imagination and develop team work skills.
