BalCC Senior students have been participating in school based apprenticeship trials.  A school-based apprenticeship or traineeship (SBAT) is an apprenticeship or traineeship undertaken by a student enrolled in a Senior Secondary program (VCE or VCAL), with at least one day per week timetabled to be spent on the job or in training during the normal school week.

An SBAT combines part-time, practical experience in the workplace and recognised, structured training with a Registered Training Organisation

Year 11 student, Caroline has completed a four day SBAT trial with Scooter’s Automotive, while other BalCC students have undertaken Hospitality and Trade trail days.
