Sarah Inglis

After twenty-two years of professional instrumental music teaching experience specialising in violin and piano, Sarah, her husband and four boys, then aged 12, 11, 9 and 7 took a sabbatical to journey and travel as a family around Australia. As a family they travelled to the far west, east, central, and northern parts of Australia. Experiencing so much of what Australia has to offer, including swimming with sharks, sleeping with frogs and scorpions, climbing immense mountains, exploring the unique geography and history of Australia. A large part of this expedition was learning how to manage living together, in such close quarters in a camper trailer.

On the family’s return to Ballarat Sarah returned to classroom teaching, and started at BalCC as a casual relief teacher, before gaining a part-time position in 2020. Sarah encourages students to be respectful, authentic, honest and encourages them to be the best they can be, become independent thinkers and accept responsibility for themselves and the greater College environment and community at large. She feels so blessed to be part of BalCC’s caring environment.
