Sporting Schools

As part of their Health & Physical Education curriculum the Years 2-5 have been involved in Sporting Schools activities during the month of May. Year 2 have been doing Netball, Year 3 and 4 Basketball, Year 5 Hockey and Year 6 Badminton.

The Year 3 and 4 Basketball class have had coaching by players from the Ballarat Miners and Rush teams. While the Year 6 students were coached by Ballarat Badminton coach, Craig Stephens.

Sporting Schools brings together schools and sports to help get Aussie children active in their local communities. Sporting Schools is open to all Australian primary schools, and with quality programs developed by over 30 national sporting organisations, it offers a fun and supportive environment for children and coaches.
