Upcoming Event: Multicultural Day Mar 19

On March 19 BalCC celebrates Multicultural Harmony Day which lines up with the beginning of Harmony Week across Australia. We begin by acknowledging the Indigenous custodians of Australia,especially the Wadawurrung people and celebrate the arrival of people from many nations around the world. Harmony week also coincides with The United Nations Day against Racial Discrimination. We give thanks to God as the Creator, owner and sustainer of this Land. We honour the Indigenous People who have tended and cared for it.
We acknowledge that we meet on the traditional lands of the Wadawurrung people. They are the first people to have lived in this region and the custodians of this area.
We pay our respects to the leaders past, present and emerging and extend that respect to other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders who are present.
We ask Jesus’ blessing on all who continue to work for the healing and restoration of this Land and our Communities across Australia.
