Year 10 student wins Citizenship Award

Year 10 student, Joshua was recently presented with a Citizenship Award by The Order of Australia Association at a civic reception held at the Ballarat Town Hall.

The Award is given to one student from Year 9 or 10 in each Ballarat secondary school who, through the year, has displayed in various practical ways exceptional qualities of citizenship.

Joshua has a history of personal and academic achievement over many years, which include being:

-Elected Middle School Captain

-Performing in the Stage Concert Band

-Performing and attending Band Camp at Shepparton Christian College

-1st Place in CSEN Cross Country U/14 boys

-Attained the Duke of Edinburgh International Bronze Award

-Completed the Whitten Leadership Program run by the Western Bulldogs Football Club

-Top exam results in English & Mathematics

-Academic All-Rounder in 2016

-Elected into Senior School Senate

-Elected as House-Vice Captain

- Performs in Stage jazz ensemble

-Performs in a stage worship band

-Won the 2017 Ballarat Regional Doubles Championships and reached round of 16 in singles.

-Reached a ranking of 1400 in the Australian Men’s Tennis Rankings
