Year 12 student finalist in Zonta awards

Year 12 student Edwina recently competed as a finalist in the Zonta Club of Ballarat’s “Young Women in Public Affairs Award”. Edwina was required to complete a fifteen minute panel interview before qualifying to the finalist stage where she gave a speech on her community involvement, mission trips to East Timor and Greece, and her goals once she completes Year 12.

Zonta International is a powerful advocate for change in our local and international communities thereby transforming the world and the place women have in it. Their mission is to be a leading organisation of professionals empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy. Zonta International envisions a world in which women's rights are recognized as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential.
