The Year 8 Cuisines of the World class headed to Thailand for their latest flavour inspiration.
The class made Tom Yum soup, which is a type of hot and sour Thai soup, usually cooked with shrimp. Tom Yum is widely served in neighbouring countries such as Cambodia, Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore and Laos and has been popularised around the world.
The class sold bowls of soup from the Canteen for $5 a bowl.
The Cuisines of the World class allows students the opportunity to learn about and cook food from around the globe. Drawing on the cuisines from the cultures within the class and College, as well as other popular cuisines, students get to experience new and exotic flavour and texture combinations first-hand.
