As part of our ongoing commitment to Child Safety at BalCC our current internal Office Administration glass doors have been upgraded. The upgrades add another layer of security to the BalCC buildings and grounds to ensure the safety of our students, staff, families and visitors.

In recent years BalCC has been accredited by Child Wise as a Child Safe Certified school. This has seen upgrades and improvements at BalCC to meet the standards of the certification standards set by Child Wise .

Child Wise provides an end-to-end service to help organisations where children and young people spend time meet the highest state and national child safe standards and demonstrate a best practice approach to child safety. Based on the principles of capacity building and prevention Child Wise works with organisations to create and maintain a culture where child safety is front of mind.

The Child Wise accreditation process is robust and methodical in ensuring quality and compliance, and is designed to embed an organisational mindset that keeps children safe from harm within an organisation, one that is reviewed and maintained into the future. Accreditation is a visible recognition that Child Wise has worked in partnership with an organisation and is satisfied that it provides a safe environment for children.

BalCC is committed to promoting and protecting the safety and best interests of all students, actively working to empower them, and allowing them to feel and be safe at all times. We recognise that children have the right to feel safe at all times. It is the responsibility of each parent, school and the community as a whole to keep all children of all racial, religious and cultural backgrounds safe and to provide them with a safe and caring environment.
