Farewell to Principal Stewart

Farewell to Principal Stewart

A farewell morning tea was held for Principal Michael Stewart on Thursday to thank him for his work at BalCC over the past three years.

Ken Nuridin, Head of Primary presented Principal Stewart with a gift on behalf of the BalCC community saying his work had been appreciated and BalCC was stronger for his input, especially in the areas of policy and procedures.

Principal Stewart has been a faithful and dedicated servant of the College, being instrumental in ensuring that all our students continue to be afforded a genuinely Christian education. He has played a key role in BalCC meeting the Victorian Government's Child Safe Standards legislation introduced in 2016 and achieving Child Wise certification. He oversaw the opening of the new Middle School building, the planning and approval of the new Primary School building, new fencing, additional staff car parking and the repurposing of the Trade Training Centre, which has resulted in significantly greater utilisation of the Centre this year.

Principal Stewart reminisced on his time at BalCC and encouraged staff to continue on with the endeavour of Christian education, saying it contributes academically, emotionally and spiritually to the lives of children, as he has seen firsthand with his own family.

Principal Stewart returns to his home state of Tasmania and we wish him God’s richest blessings in the next season of his life and thank him for his many contributions to BalCC.

Ken Nuridin will be the Acting Principal going forward until a permanent appointment is made.
