Chris Duke’s involvement with what is now Ballarat Christian College goes back to the inception of Carmel Christian Community School in the early 1980s with what began as an idea and a desire and a calling from the Lord for a Christian school. Chris says, “From the outset the Lord changed my view on Christian Schooling and also that of my late wife Judy, that as parents we were responsible for raising our children in the Christian faith and bringing them up in the teaching and instruction of the Lord.” Chris’ children were educated in the school in the early days and his grandchildren currently attend BalCC.
Chris has been a past Board Chair and involved in the Board for fifteen years. While professionally he has been involved in Education, Applied Science, self-employed as a Financial Planner for over twenty years and is currently involved in Pastoral Ministry in the Presbyterian Church.
